What can a restaurant app do?
The Ciorbe și Plăcinte app has a loyalty card with points collected by QR, from the receipt or at the table, a deal of the day, exclusive offers, the full menu, a nutrition calculator and a game called “Prinde Ciorba”. Not every restaurant needs all of that. We start from what you want to change: getting guests to come back more often, telling them about offers, or replacing paper cards that get lost.
What does “from DUNS to the App Store” mean?
To publish an app under your company's name, you need a DUNS number, an international company identifier, and organization developer accounts with Apple and Google. Then come the store listing, screenshots, a privacy policy and each store's review, which can ask for changes before approval.
For Ciorbe și Plăcinte we did every one of these steps, plus the design and development, and the app is now live on Google Play and the App Store. You do not have to learn Apple's and Google's procedures or answer review questions on your own. We handle them for you.
Why Flutter, with one codebase for iOS and Android?
Flutter lets one codebase run on both platforms. For a restaurant that means one app to maintain, the same features on iPhone and Android, and changes made once instead of twice. The data, meaning points, offers and the menu, lives in a Supabase backend that we run on our own infrastructure.
App or website? How to choose
If you want people to find your menu and order, start with a website: they find it on Google with nothing to install. An app is worth it when you have guests who come back often and you want to keep them close with points, offers and notifications. Many restaurants need both, on the same data. We will tell you honestly what makes sense before you ask for a quote.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a restaurant mobile app cost?
An iOS and Android mobile app starts from 1,500 RON, with a menu, locations, accounts and store publishing. With offers and push notifications it starts from 2,200 RON, and with loyalty, QR redemption and a game, like Ciorbe și Plăcinte, from 3,000 RON. Integrations with your POS are added depending on features. Tell us what you want the app to do and we will send you a concrete quote.
Will the app be published under my company in the stores?
Yes, that is the point of organization accounts. For Ciorbe și Plăcinte we got the DUNS number and opened the Apple Developer and Google Play Console accounts under the company, then published the app there.
How long does App Store and Google Play approval take?
That is up to Apple's and Google's review, and the time varies. Sometimes the stores ask for changes to the listing, the policies or the app itself. We handle the replies and resubmissions until it is approved.
How does the QR loyalty card work?
The guest scans a QR code from the receipt or at the table, and the points land in their app account. The card cannot get lost like a paper one, and you can see who comes back and how often.
Can the app connect to HoReCaOS?
HoReCaOS is our operating system for restaurants and has loyalty and menu modules. If you already use HoReCaOS, we will look at which data the app can reuse, so you do not maintain your menu in two places.
